New Mt. Zion Senior Added to Our 2013 Senior Reps!

Monday, May 7th, 2012

Last week you’ll remember I announced the 2013 Senior Reps for Green Tree Media. Well after I made the post and announcement on Facebook I got a message from a Mt. Zion mom asking if I’d like a senior rep from Mt. Zion. The answer to that question was easy – YES! I’d love to capture more Mt. Zion seniors! I’ve had so much fun with the senior guys and gals I’ve got to photograph from Mt. Zion in the past couple years and I absolutely had fun chatting with Megan and snapping her little mini session head shots for her announcement as one of our models. So here’s our newest addition to the Green Tree Media team: Megan!!!

Announcing the 2013 Senior Reps for Green Tree Media Photography

Monday, April 30th, 2012

I am so excited to finally announce the 2013 Senior Reps for Green Tree Media Photography! This is our first year running an officially model program, and I’ve been anxiously awaiting the day that I would have the headshots for all these lovely young ladies and gents so I can show you the awesome group of young adults we have supporting the Green Tree Media family! So without further ado… Our senior reps are: Jessica Schuerman from St. Teresa, Colton Hart also from St. Teresa, Skyler Taylor from LSA, Jeremy Pezzelle also from LSA, Josie Santiago from Argenta-Oreana, and Alex Stupeck also from Argenta Oreana. So as you can see we have two kids representing LSA, St. Teresa, and A&O this year and I couldn’t be happier with the amazing individuals I have for my first year doing the Senior Rep Program! :) So here’s a peek at each senior’s headshot in the order listed above :)

2013 Senior Rep - Jessica

2013 Senior Rep - Colton

2013 Senior Rep - Skyler

2013 Senior Rep - Jeremy

2013 Senior Rep - Josie

2013 Senior Rep - Alex

One of the things we are focusing on in our senior campaign this year is Who You Are? Your One Word Description. So I posed the question to my seniors… What one word defines you? And here’s what they had to say!

2013 Senior Rep - Jeremy - Determination

2013 Senior Rep - Jessica - Outgoing

2013 Senior Rep - Colton - Crazy

2013 Senior Rep - Skyler - Light

2013 Senior Rep - Josie - Bubbly

2013 Senior Rep - Alex - Carefree

We ended the mini session with some group shots. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get all six seniors together for these. (The end of the school year always gets so busy!) But we had fun with each group! So our first group was the LSA and St. T seniors:

Senior Reps 1

Senior Reps 2

Senior Reps 3

And our second group was the Argenta-Oreana girls:

They are a very attractive and wonderful group of young people and I’m just tickled to death to have them supporting the business this year! Keep your eyes open for more updates as the year goes on showcasing these awesome guys and gals! Have a great Monday!

This is the reason mom and dad will love you being a senior model! As one of our reps, you’re going to be entitled to a pretty great discount! I don’t do discounts very often so this is a pretty big deal and only a very select few people will be selected to be models so you’re definitely not going to want to mis out on the savings!

2) Custom Tailored Session
All our seniors get custom tailored sessions, but we go the extra distance for our models. We will sit down with you and discuss some of your ideas for what you’d like to do for your session and work out a fun, new and unique way to represent you in your senior photos!

3) Celebrity Treatment Optional Add-On
You’re only a senior once and I want you to feel extra special and awesome! If you are interested in the celebrity treatment, I do have a hairdresser/make up artists who will pamper you and doll you up so you’re looking extra fine for your session. We’re still working out the details on this, but by the time we’re scheduling sessions everything should be in place.

4) Your Own Web Page and Business Cards
As a senior representative for Green Tree Media, we want you to take an active role in being a part of our business. That’s why we give all senior models a set of business cards with one of your favorite pictures on it, and a web page where you get to share a little about yourself and your senior video! Want to see what our senior model, Jackie’s page look like last year? Check her page out here: http://greentreemediaonline.com/jackiefisher

We hope that you have so much fun with us that you’ll want your friends to come and share in the fun too! Plus, every friend you refer to us who books a session will earn you credits toward your print and product purchases!

2012 Green Tree Media Senior Model/Rep Program

Wednesday, February 29th, 2012

So I’ve finally got everything lined up and ready for this year’s seniors! The 2012 Green Tree Media Senior Model/Rep Program applications have been delivered to St. Teresa, LSA and Decatur Christian already and I’ve got a TON of extra applications sitting at the studio too! So if you attend a high school I didn’t list – email me (at stephanie@greentreemediaonline.com) and let me know you’re interested.

So here’s a little about how this year’s program works. :) We will be selecting one boy and one girl from each school we receive applications from. So if you are a young lady or gentleman attending St. Teresa and you are selecting – you will be the ONLY senior model or representative for your graduating class! Not only do you get the perk of being your classes only model/rep, but there will be some other fun little goodies that go with it. For example, you will receive a $50 credit towards your product purchases, 25 business cards with your selected “signature” shot on them, a t-shirt, and your own model web page on the Green Tree Media website.

I’ll also be asking for your help in getting the word out about Green Tree Media to your friends! Whether it’s helping me pass out marketing materials when I come speak at your school or sending out referral cards to your friends – I promise! It won’t feel like work! And we’ll make it tons of fun for you!

So if this sounds like something you are interested in (and I sure hope you are!), make sure you pick up an application at school or you can apply online here: Please fill out my form.

Diamond in the Ruff

I’m so excited to meet all of the class of 2013 Seniors! I hope you’re all having a stupendous Wednesday! And I’ll see you back here on Friday! :)

Maggie Good Senior Session | Forsyth, IL | High School Senior Photography

Wednesday, December 7th, 2011

This post has been a long time coming…. We took these photos of gorgeous Miss Maggie way back in August. I met Maggie out at Forsyth Park for her senior session that hot summer day and we decided to just walk around the park looking for some fun locations to stop and shoot away.

Maggie is a blonde haired, blue-green eyed beauty, who is quite the athlete to boot! Her St. Teresa Girls Cross Country team actually won state this year, which is an enormous accomplishment! Between the gorgeous light, scenery and this stunning young woman – we got some amazing images! Enjoy Maggie’s sneak peek!

RJ Howell Senior Session | Fort Daniels & Dalton City | Senior Photography

Wednesday, November 23rd, 2011

So this was an awesome session! Remember the Mayes family I introduced you to on Monday? Well the Howell’s were actually at Fort Daniel’s while I was shooting the Mayes Family’s session. And when I got done and started packing up the car. Bob came over and we chatted for a bit and he asked me, “If I called you tonight or tomorrow morning… would you be available tomorrow afternoon/evening to do my son’s senior photos?” Luckily for me – I was available and so I returned to Fort Daniels the next day to take pictures of this handsome young man (and we snuck in a couple with his little sisters;) )!

RJ’s a pretty cool guy. He’s into computer science so he’s pretty good with C+, C++ and a bunch of other programming languages that I honestly don’t think I’d even remotely know what to do with! He’s a really smart kid – student of the month at Mt. Zion High School this month and a straight A student. If this kid doesn’t have potential written all over him… i don’t know who does!

So we grabbed the girls and got RJ’s photo with them first and then the senior fun began! :)

After getting a ton of great shots at the Fort – we hopped in our cars and headed to an old abandoned barn in Dalton City… which I’m now in love with… I may try and use this barn again in the future! So many awesome textures! :)

And of course – you can’t finish a Dalton City session without some railroad tracks and the Dalton City water tower in the background.

Well – I hope you enjoyed taking a peek at RJ’s senior photos! I had a blast taking them and I absolutely LOVE the Howell family! They are so fun, sweet, and chipper people! It’s a joy to be around them! Have an awesome Wednesday everybody!

Daniel & Josh Queen Senior Session | Decatur, IL | Senior Photography

Friday, September 23rd, 2011

I was excited when Daniel & Josh’s grandma called me about getting some senior photos taken. Daniel and Josh are related to the Schuerman’s (and if you been following my blog for a while – you’ll remember me doing their cousin, Gabbi’s, senior photos a couple years ago). So I knew that I would have fun at their session. I met the brothers at the Schuerman’s house (if you’re like me, you’ll be jealous of the scenery they’ve got behind their house!).

Daniel arrived first so we got his photos started while Josh was on his way.  I asked Daniel if he had any idea what he wants to do for a living. He said he knew what he didn’t want to do… Work in the food industry. I don’t blame ya! Here’s some of the photos we got of this handsome young man!

I thought it was pretty sweet – Daniel wanted a picture with his grandma, Toni! Isn’t she gorgeous!

By this time Josh had arrived so we got a quick picture of the boys together before we started Josh’s photos.

Josh plays football at St. Teresa so we had to get some photos of him in his football jersey. The St. Teresa football team is having a great season so far. I know it’s early in the season but I’m rooting for you guys! :)

The boys wanted to get some photos with Josh’s dog Amber too! She’s a gorgeous yellow lab and honestly behaved really well.

Shannon Brinkoetter | Decatur, IL | Senior Photography

Wednesday, September 21st, 2011

Shannon actually called me herself to schedule her senior session, which was awesome! We talked a little about what she might want to do for her session over the phone. The one thing we decided for sure was that she wanted it to have a country theme. We spent a few days trying to come up with the perfect location, and I don’t think we could have picked a better spot. (I’m keeping our shoot site a secret though ;) I’m pretty proud of it! :) )

The first time I met Shannon was at her session and I have to say she is absolutely gorgeous! Her smile absolutely lights up her whole face, and I kid you not, this girl could model – just stunning!

We talked about her extra-curriculars. Shannon is quite the athlete – she runs cross country, plays guard on the St. Teresa basketball team, and also does track. Such an impressive young woman! We talked about the future. Shannon is looking at Murray & ISU for college and is thinking about becoming an Occupational Therapist. I’m always interested to see what my seniors are interested in pursuing.

Well enough of my rambling! Enjoy Shannon’s sneak peek

Tim Furman Senior Session | Decatur, IL | Senior Photography

Friday, September 16th, 2011

I was super excited when Tim’s mom set a date for his senior photo session! I was lucky enough to take Tim’s older sister, Alanna’s, senior photos a couple years ago, and so I was already excited about the possibilities with Tim’s session

One of the great things about the Furman’s is that they really get my shooting style and my goal of capturing your uniqueness in a picture. So Mrs. Furman and I had been brainstorming for a while trying to come up with some fun ideas for Tim’s session. Now, when I say brainstorming – I don’t mean mapping out all the pictures I’m going to take… I’m not that kind of photographer. I take whatever you bring to the table and try to enhance and create something really cool and different. Tim brought a lot of himself and his personality to the table which provided me with an excellent opportunity to create something personal and unique to him.

So when Tim showed up for his session and he wasn’t feeling the formal studio portraits we headed outside with his lovely girlfriend Brittany and tried to have some fun instead.

Tim Furman2

Tim Furman3

Tim Furman19

Tim Furman20

This is where things started to get really fun and unique! So Tim likes squirrels…. a lot! In fact, he has an awesome collection of squirrel statues, toys, etc and he brought his awesome collection with him to his session. He is also very interested in science, so the periodic table elements snuck it’s way into several of our photos too. Anyway… once I saw Tim’s squirrel walking stick – a brilliant idea smacked me in the face and I just had to try it! I got home and started working on it, and I was so giddy about the results that it’s taken a great deal of self control not share it until now. Don’t think you find too many people with pictures like these!

Tim Furman4

THE MASTERPIECE!!! :)

Tim Furman5

So once we finished up his squirrel photos, we packed up the car and headed over to St. Teresa High School to get some more fun images. Tim is on the chess club – so we thought it would be fun to get some pictures of him playing chess.

Tim Furman6

Tim Furman7

Then we headed to the science room. Time for some more science fun!

Tim Furman8

We finished up taking your more “typical” senior photos outside the school. St. Teresa has some surprisingly nice backdrops actually.

Jackie Fisher Senior Session | Decatur, IL | Senior Photography

Monday, August 1st, 2011

I was so excited to meet Jackie! I had talked to her on the phone a few weeks ago to discuss what ideas she had and to learn a little about her. So I was really excited when the day arrived and I got to meet her in person.

I find myself often impressed by the young men and women I get to photograph. When I was their age I really wasn’t sure what I wanted to do, let alone where I wanted to go to school. But I’m discovering a lot of these seniors have thought ahead to their futures and where they want it to lead. Jackie is one of these awesome seniors! She would love to be an event planner and is thinking about attending Eastern or ISU to pursue that line of education. How fun and awesome is that?

In addition to knowing what she wants to do for a living, this girl is drop dead gorgeous! I’m talking Beautiful with a capital B! In my opinion – this girl could definitely be a model! She’s got this amazing shiny brown hair and her eyes are this light hazel that changes colors. In some of the pictures her eyes are a rich chocolate brown, in others they are more of a golden amber and in a few they have more of a green hue to them. But in very single picture they just pop! Oh! And Jackie’s got these amazingly long lashes! She just gorgeous!

Okay enough of my ramblings… but since I’m feeling like being ornery today, we’re going to start from the last location and work our way back to the beginning. ;) So here we go….

We finished Jackie’s session at Rock Springs. I love Rock Springs because you can get so many different looks and environments in one location. The pine forest is probably one of my favorite spots to do pictures. The light is always perfect; it’s usually cooler under the trees; and the height, shape, and texture of the trees adds an element of interest to the pictures that I just can’t get enough or! Add a beautiful young woman into the picture and you’ve got some killer photos!

Jackie Fisher 1

Jackie Fisher 2

Jackie Fisher 3

Jackie Fisher 4

We thought it would be fun to take some photos by the pond so Jackie did a quick outfit change into this cute white sundress and we headed over to the pond at Rock Springs. The light back here was tricky, but we got some good pics with the water in the background.

Jackie Fisher 5

Jackie Fisher 6

Jackie Fisher 7

I had been doing some location scouting earlier in the week trying to find some fun new locations to shoot at with Jackie. I knew some of the ideas she had and I melded them with mine and found some new spots that I’m pretty happy with. So these are just some random spots in Decatur I fell in love with.

Jackie Fisher 8

Jackie Fisher 9

Jackie Fisher 10

I knew Jackie wanted some pictures with railroad tracks so we just found the nearest set of tracks (which isn’t hard to do in Decatur). I love how her eyes pop in these pics!

Jackie Fisher 11

Jackie Fisher 12

Oh my gosh! Seriously! Doesn’t this look like a CoverGirl photo or something? Jackie – You’re gorgeous!

Jackie Fisher 13

Now this was my favorite location of the day! I knew I was going to love, love, LOVE this spot the minute I found it. I showed it to Jackie and we got her all set up and I could help but make my goofy excited sound. I kid you not – Jackie looked like a movie star playing a princess who has escaped from the ball and is hiding in this little known corner of the castle grounds. … Don’t believe me? Just look at this amazingness!

Jackie Fisher 14

Jackie Fisher 15

(Insert goofy excited noise here) Look! LOOK! Doesn’t she just look like she’s supposed to be there! **sigh** Jackie – you make this picture awesome!

Jackie Fisher 16

This is hands down one of my favorites because I absolutely adore her happy smile in this picture!

Jackie Fisher 17

Well I hope you enjoyed your sneak peek! I’m so thrilled to have you as part of the Green Tree Media family and as one of our Class of 2012 Senior Models! I can’t wait to go through the rest of the pictures with you at your viewing session! :)

Have an awesome Monday!
